Admission requirements

The application for admission is free of charge. It is not necessary for the child to speak French at the time of application. Children of all nationalities are admitted.

  • Preschool (2 to 5 years old)
  • Elementary school (6 to 10 years old)
  • Middle school (11 to 14 years old)
  • High school (15 to 18 years old)

For pre school entry:

  • In Nursery (Très petite section), your child must be at least 2 years old by December 31 of the current year.
  • In first year of pre school (Petite section): your child must be at least 3 years old before December 31st of the current year.
  • In second year of pre school (Moyenne section): your child must be at least 4 years old before December 31st of the current year.
  • In third year of pre school (Grande section): your child must be at least 5 years old before December 31st of the current year.

From first grade through 12th grade:

Applicants from a school approved by the French Ministry of Education will be admitted based on their academic record. It is therefore important to send them to us as soon as possible.

If your child is coming from a non-accredited school, he or she may take an initial admission test to assess his or her level in the various subjects according to the class. If so, the admissions office will contact you to schedule an appointment.

To complete your request, you must send an email to inscription@lifpa-donbosco.com the requested documents:

  • A recent passport-type photo of the student;
  • A copy of the birth certificate (in French or English);
  • A copy of the report card and/or transcript of thefirst quarter of the current year and the report cards of the previous year (except for kindergarten)
  • A certificate of schooling for students from French and/or AEFE schools;
  • Documents justifying the right of the person responsible for the student (if necessary): Extract of the judgment in case of legal custody or letter of investiture of the guardian or delegation of parental authority.

Step Three:

Once the application has been made and the documents have been received, you will be contacted by our admissions team, either by phone or by video conference, to discuss your application. Then, we will let you know within 15 days whether or not your child has been accepted at LIFPA.

    Scholarships and financial aid

    The scholarships are reserved for French children, residing with their family (at least one of the parents) abroad, registered in the worldwide register of French nationals established outside of France and, as a general rule, enrolled in an establishment approved by the Ministry of National Education.

    They are means-tested. The latter must be compatible with an allocation scale set according to the economic and social situation of each country.

    We invite you to consult our website where additional information will be sent a few weeks before the beginning of the school year. The files must be filled in before September 30 of the current year.
